Consider a Committee

In each Chapter across the nation, DAR sisters join together in order to achieve a common goal: the active promotion of patriotism, preservation of American history, and securing of America's future through better education for children.

To go further, each Chapter also contains committees that address specific areas such as Genealogical Records, National Defense, and even Historic Preservation. There are many committees that can be created, all they need is a voice!

At one point, I served as the Committee Chairman for the Historic Preservation Committee, but was forced to step down due to other obligations. Luckily, I was able to continue being the Committee Chairman for Volunteer Information Specialists, as well as Public Relations (PR)  and Media Relations.

I'm hoping that through this post, my sisters take a moment and think about what they believe in and would like to assist with on behalf of our chapter within our community. For those who are reading this now, you can contact our Regent, Vice Regent, or Secretary for assistance in finding a committee to join or lead. You can also sign into the DAR website here using your membership number and see what committees exist and what they do!
